The State of Rhode Island and the Department of Labor and Training have taken every precaution to protect the security and confidentiality of the information you provide. Between your computer and our server, all data will be encrypted using the Transport Layer Security Protocol.

State and federal laws and regulations specify detailed requirements pertaining to the disclosure or access of any unemployment insurance information and the civil and criminal penalties associated with improper disclosure. Certain information about claims must be disclosed to certain government agencies including but not limited to: the Department of Health and Human services, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, state and local child support enforcement agencies, and certain food stamp and public housing agencies. Information may also be disclosed to other federal and state agencies in the course of official business. Further, the Department of Labor and Training may be required to disclose information you provide if required to do so to comply with a subpoena or court order. In addition, state law requires that all employer associated with your claim must be sent written notice of the claim's filing.

The Department of Labor and Training will never disclose the information you provide except as provided for or required by law or a court.
