Career Services

The Department offers a range of career services to job seekers and employers, connecting them through quality employment programs and resources. Services for job seekers are offered through one-on-one meetings with job coaches, including: 

• Resume Assistance
• Interview Skills and Techniques
• Job Search Assistance
• Career Planning
• Connecting to Free or Low Cost Job Training Programs
• If you received an RESEA Letter while you are collecting unemployment insurance, you must meet with a Job Coach. For more information on RESEA: https://dlt.ri.gov/resea

Connecting to these services 

These services are provided at DLT American Job Centers (AJC), which are conveniently located throughout the state and open to the public, free of charge! Services can also be provided virtually.  

• To schedule a virtual session with a job coach, visit our Virtual Appointment Center to schedule an appointment.
• To meet with a job coach in person, see below for where our American Job Centers are located.
• Same-day appointments are only available through in-person walk-in services at these local centers. Walk-ins are available until 2:30 p.m. at these centers and are on a first-come, first-served basis. Staffing for walk-in services is limited.
• Employers can access our Business Service Specialists for support with hosting virtual job fairs, connecting with quality employees, and meeting other workforce development needs. Learn more at https://dlt.ri.gov/employers/find-and-train-employees
