Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assistance (RESEA)

If you are collecting unemployment insurance, you may be selected to participate in the Department of Labor and Training’s (DLT) Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assistance (RESEA) program. You will be notified of your selection through a letter in the mail. If selected, you must meet with a DLT Job Coach who will help you improve your resume and interviewing skills, review job leads, and discuss your rights and responsibilities while receiving unemployment insurance.

All meetings with job coaches are held virtually at BackToWorkRI.com.

IMPORTANT: Scheduling and attending your appointment is a requirement of continuing your unemployment insurance claim.  Failing to schedule and attend your appointment may result in the delay or denial of your unemployment insurance benefits.

If you already have a return to work date or have questions about your appointment, please call (401) 462-4110.

How to schedule your appointment with a job coach:

  • Go to BackToWorkRI.com and create a free user account.
  • When setting up your account, select the check box “I received an RESEA letter” in the Job Coach Preferences tab. (If you already have an account, please navigate to the Job Coach Preferences tab in your profile and select the check box “I received an RESEA letter.”)
  • Once your account is created, you can schedule a meeting with your job coach. You must schedule your appointment within 18 days of the date listed on your RESEA letter.

If you have difficulty creating an account or scheduling a meeting, please watch this video.

What to have ready before your meeting:

Photo identification (Drivers’ License, State ID card, or passport) and your resume. If you do not have a resume, please bring a list of prior jobs. You do not need to print your resume or list of jobs; you will be able to share your documents virtually with your job coach during your meeting.
