Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA)

If you are collecting unemployment insurance, you may be selected to participate in the Department of Labor and Training’s (DLT) Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) program. You will be notified of your selection through a letter in the mail. If selected, you must meet with a DLT Job Coach who will help you improve your resume and interviewing skills, review job leads, and discuss your rights and responsibilities while receiving unemployment insurance.

All meetings with job coaches are held virtually at BackToWorkRI.com.

Please note:

Same day online (virtual) appointments are not available.  If you need a same-day appointment those are only available through in-person walk-in services at the local Career Centers located in Providence, West Warwick, and Woonsocket. Walk-ins are available up until 2:30pm at career centers.  Walk in services are on a first come first serve basis, and staffing for walk in services is limited. Please plan accordingly by scheduling an appointment through the Virtual Career Center.

IMPORTANT: Scheduling and attending your appointment is a requirement of continuing your unemployment insurance claim.  Failing to schedule and attend your appointment may result in the delay or denial of your unemployment insurance benefits.

If you already have a return to work date or have questions about your appointment, please call (401) 462-4110.

How to schedule your appointment with a job coach:

  • Go to BackToWorkRI.com and create a free user account.

What to have ready before your meeting:

Photo identification (Drivers’ License, State ID card, or passport) and your resume. If you do not have a resume, please bring a list of prior jobs. You do not need to print your resume or list of jobs; you will be able to share your documents virtually with your job coach during your meeting.
