How Does a Job Training Work?

Through Real Jobs RI and Back to Work RI, the Department of Labor and Training partners with employers who are hiring and want to find workers with the right skillsets. Together, DLT and the employer create a job training program that will prepare participants for jobs in growing industries. At the end of the training, graduates will have the skills they need to secure well-paying jobs in growing industries, and employers will have the talent they’re looking for—it’s a win-win!

Current trainings are offered in health care, hospitality, computer programming, and more. Trainings can vary in length from just a few weeks, to a few months, depending on the industry. Some trainings are offered in-person, some are completely virtual, and some are a hybrid. Explore trainings currently recruiting and apply today!
