Host a Virtual Job Fair

The Department of Labor and Training is here to help employers connect with job seekers. If you’re an employer and want help with finding great candidates, consider hosting a virtual job fair.

How It Works

Virtual job fairs are posted and held on backtoworkri.com. Ahead of the job fair, job seekers will have the opportunity to register for 15-minute interview times. During the job fair, hiring representative will speak one-on-one with each registered attendee. Job seekers will have the opportunity to share their resume virtually and hiring representatives can determine if the applicant is a good fit for the position. Virtual job fairs often lead to second round interviews or even direct offers.

During the virtual job fair, a representative from DLT will be on hand to help the employer navigate the virtual waiting rooms and interviews.

NOTE: There is no cost to hosting a virtual job fair with DLT.

How to Schedule Your Virtual Job Fair

If you’re interested in partnering with DLT to host a virtual job fair, please send an email to dlt.esu@dlt.ri.gov

Advertising Your Virtual Job Fair

Once you’ve registered for a virtual job fair and it is posted online, DLT will help publicize the event through social media and to unemployment claimants.

Employers are encouraged to advertise the job fair in conjunction with DLT through your own channels to maximize the jobseeker turnout.
