This Program is a certificate of continuing study. This program is a 20-week medical assistant certificate training program that combines classroom instruction with on-the-job training. Instruction includes Medical Terminology (2 college credits), Anatomy & Physiology, Basic Pharmacology, Medical Law & Ethics, Medical Asepsis and OSHA, Medical Math, Clinical and Administrative procedures, CPR certification, NHA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Certification. Soft Skill, and Northstar digital literacy which include topics such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint email, and Accessing Telehealth Appointments. Students will be placed in an internship for a minimum of 120 unpaid hours in a healthcare setting. During internship students continue to build medical assisting skills such as: patient reception and scheduling appointments, medical office computerization, medical record management and electronic charting, performance of vital signs and body measurements, patient history, medication administration, injections, EKGs, point of care testing. Case management services are provided as are job placement assistance and support. If there is an ESL component to this program, the students will earn college credit.

**You will need to meet with a Job Coach either online or at a DLT Career Center to determine your eligibility for an Individual Training Account of up to $15,000 to cover the cost of the ETPL program you wish to enroll in.**
