Description
This 10-week Direct Support Provider Training Program helps adults learn the skills and earn the certifications they need to get a job helping individuals with developmental disabilities. Trainees learn how to provide support, care, education, and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities. Training and certifications include First Aid/CPR, Alzheimer's Training, ServSafe Food Handler, and Nutrition. Comprehensive, integrated support services are provided by our Financial Opportunity Center, including Case Manager, Employment Counselor, and Financial Coach. Training includes 10 weeks of part-time classroom instruction followed by 3 weeks of internship at a local Direct Support Facility.
**You will need to meet with a Job Coach either online or at a DLT Career Center to determine your eligibility for an Individual Training Account of up to $15,000 to cover the cost of the ETPL program you wish to enroll in.**
