Certified Nursing Assistant
Description
Comprehensive introduction to the health care field. Curriculum includes Medical Terminology & Abbreviations, HIPAA foundations, Effective communication skills, CPR Certification, Anatomy & Physiology in addition to basic Nursing skills. This course qualifies our graduates to sit for state testing for licensure. We offer career counseling, test preparation, resume building and developing interview skills to aid our students in job placement. Upon completion of the program, you will be able to sit for the State of Rhode Island certification exam and apply for licensure for practice in Rhode Island. This license can be transferred to other states if you move outside of Rhode Island and wish to practice elsewhere. This is coordinated through the Department of Health.
**You will need to meet with a Job Coach either online or at a DLT Career Center to determine your eligibility for an Individual Training Account of up to $15,000 to cover the cost of the ETPL program you wish to enroll in.**
