This program focuses on reading and interpreting heart rhythm strips. It covers basic to advanced EKG concepts including Cardiac Anatomy & Physiology, 12-lead interpretation, hypertrophy, myocardial infarction, CPR certification and Medical Terminology & Abbreviations. This program prepares you to sit for National Certification through NHA as a Certified EKG Technician and meets all the requirements to do so. You gain valuable experience with hands-on learning in our practice lab as well as an off-site clinical shift to gain patient interaction experience. We aid our graduates in their job searching efforts through resume building, mock interviews, career counseling and test preparation. National Certification testing is offered through the National Healthcareer Association. The cost of the test is $117 and is not included in the tuition. Upon successful completion of the testing process, you will be Nationally Certified and able to practice in any state in the United States. **You will need to meet with a Job Coach either online or at a DLT Career Center to determine your eligibility for an Individual Training Account of up to $15,000 to cover the cost of the ETPL program you wish to enroll in.**
