CDL Class A Training Program

Commercial Driver's License Class A: At International CDL student's will be introduced to truck driving. Student's will spend time learning information needed to pass the State CDL permit test, Student's will work with state certified instructors to become familiar with RI state required maneuvers, as well as city and highway driving. This is not a Pell Grant eligible program.

International CDL

CDL Class A Training Program

The course includes an introduction up to and including advance training of a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV). Students will learn about air brakes, basic maintenance, the ability to pre-trip a truck and trailer and to conduct the driving maneuvers required to pass the RI road skills test.

Certified Cardio-Phlebotomy Technician

The program consists of 5 phases; 1) General Medical Studies: students receive training in Infection Control, Basic Human Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, CPR, 1st Aid, Legal issues, Communication, & Documentation.

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

The program consists of 6 phases: 1) General Medical Studies (4 weeks): Includes Infection Control, Basic Human Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, CPR. 2) EKG Core Curriculum portions (4 weeks): Students learn about the EKG Technician profession and how to obtain and interpret 12-Lead EKG's, perform stress testing, and use the halter monitor.

This program focuses on reading and interpreting heart rhythm strips. It covers basic to advanced EKG concepts including Cardiac Anatomy & Physiology, 12-lead interpretation, hypertrophy, myocardial infarction, CPR certification and Medical Terminology & Abbreviations.

American Safety Programs and Training

Certified Nursing Assistant

Comprehensive introduction to the health care field. Curriculum includes Medical Terminology & Abbreviations, HIPAA foundations, Effective communication skills, CPR Certification, Anatomy & Physiology in addition to basic Nursing skills. This course qualifies our graduates to sit for state testing for licensure.

American Safety Programs and Training

Certified Nursing Assistant

The program consists of 130 hours of training - 60 hours of classroom, 30 hours of laboratory learning as well as 40 hours of clinical training in a nursing facility. Topics covered include basic nursing skills, resident's rights, vital signs, social services, basic rehabilitative services, personal care skills, and safety and emergency procedures.
