Description

In response to the rapid growth of the offshore wind industry, the Community College of Rhode Island launched Global Wind Organization (GWO) Basic Safety Training (BST) beginning in Spring 2024. This industry-recognized certification prepares participants with the essential safety competencies required to work in offshore wind environments. The training covers working at heights, manual handling, fire awareness, first aid, sea survival, and emergency response procedures, equipping participants with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to work safely and effectively in offshore and wind energy settings.

This program opportunity is organized by the Community College of RI Division of Workforce Partnerships led by Community College of Rhode Island.
