Description

The Project Management certificate program is designed for individuals with little to no direct Project Management experience or education. The program is aligned with the Project Management Institute Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). All new students will need to take the Strategies for Success module once before they begin. There is no cost for Strategies for Success. Students are given one-week to complete the module, which familiarizes them with our learning management software called Canvas. Most individuals complete this module in just a few hours. A Bryant University Project Management certificate qualifies individuals to sit for the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate or the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification. We highly recommend individuals who are interested in taking the PMP or CAPM exam take the virtual instructor led version of the certificate because it will “teach the test.” Learning outcomes: • Analyze the role of project management in contemporary organizations. • Evaluate the various project management models, including an overview of Agile • Describe, in detail, the key components of the five phases of every project: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, and closure. • Situate the various project management knowledge areas within the context of the 5 project phases.
