Description

Newport Community School leverages its successful history of collaborating with the Department of Labor and Training (DLT) to offer workforce training and development programs for underserved populations on Aquidneck Island. Building on this experience, the Aquidneck Island Adult Learning Center (AIALC) program, in partnership with John Clarke Retirement and Nursing, St. Clare Newport, Royal Middletown Nursing Center, and Heatherwood Nursing and Rehabilitation, addresses the critical workforce shortage in the healthcare industry. This collaboration aims to train, support, and hire local Rhode Islanders for entry-level healthcare positions.

This program opportunity is organized by the Newport Workforce Partnership led by Newport Community School.
