Free or Reduced Cost Training Programs

Open job trainings can be found online or through local career centers. Once you have found a training that interests you, you can contact a job coach or the provider to learn more.

Real Jobs RI Programs are run by partnerships consisting of employers and training providers and are completely free to participants. Approximately 80% of Real Jobs trainees successfully complete training and are placed into related employment.

WIOA Eligible Training Provider Programs (ETPL) are available to eligible underemployed Rhode Islanders at no cost or at a reduced cost. You will need to meet with a Job Coach either online or at a DLT Career Center to determine your eligibility for an Individual Training Account of up to $15,000 to cover the cost of the ETPL program you wish to enroll in.

Transitional Postsecondary Education

The Reentry Campus Program empowers currently and formerly incarcerated individuals by providing affordable access to accredited postsecondary education and certificate programs, aligning seamlessly with the reentry process. This intensive program serves 40 participants aiming for 30 to earn postsecondary credentials or credits in a human services career pathway.

Veterans Pathways to Prosperity (VPP)

OSDRI empowers unemployed and underemployed veterans by connecting them with quality employment opportunities.
