CDL Class A Training Program

The course includes an introduction up to and including advance training of a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV). Students will learn about air brakes, basic maintenance, the ability to pre-trip a truck and trailer and to conduct the driving maneuvers required to pass the RI road skills test. Upon completion students will be safely able to operate a CMV with the skills needed in shifting, speed control, backing and road awareness. Graduates will be prepared for a successful career in the transportation industry through thorough training by industry professionals. Additional license endorsements, although not required, can be obtained during the 8 weeks to better serve the graduate upon completion of his/her training. This program is not Pell Grant Eligible. 

**You will need to meet with a Job Coach either online or at a DLT Career Center to determine your eligibility for an Individual Training Account of up to $15,000 to cover the cost of the ETPL program you wish to enroll in.**
