Description

To address the shortage of trained plant-based industry professionals in Rhode Island, the RI Landscape and Nursery Association (RINLA) has developed a comprehensive pre-apprenticeship program.

The "Growing Futures Career Catalyst" is an intensive, five-week program that equips Rhode Islanders with the skills needed to enter the plant-based industry. It offers wages starting at $18.00 per hour and provides a pathway to RINLA's registered apprenticeship program for further skill development specific to industry needs.

This program combines industry-specific education with on-the-job work experience, equipping participants with the knowledge, skills, and tools for success. Upon successful completion, graduates are placed in permanent, full-time positions with RINLA employer partners.

This program opportunity is organized by the Growing Futures RI led by RI Nursery and Landscape Association.
