The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) leads the Department of Labor and Training’s commitment and strategy to be a diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization, both internally and externally in serving the public.

The mission of the OCE is to promote and ensure fair treatment and quality employment for all, while supporting and developing partnerships and equitable distribution of services and resources through meaningful community engagement.

Year Two Community Engagement Partners Announced

In April 2023, the Office of Community Engagement (OCE) launched a paid community advisory group to better serve all Rhode Islanders; the OCE is delighted to announce that the Community Engagement Partners Initiative will continue for a second year through April 2025. The Community Engagement Partners listed below represent the interests and needs of their communities in reviewing and advising on RIDLT policies and program delivery to ensure culturally- and linguistically-appropriate programming, and outreach to and educate their clients about RIDLT services and programs.
