Description: "This 12 month, 315 hour welding program places a strong emphasis on learning the skill and science of welding in order to prepare participant to enter the welding workforce with exceptional entry-level skills. Instruction includes: fundamentals of welding, Classroom & Hands-On practice with multiple forms of welding, shop safety, welding and cutting safety, safely handling fuel gasses and high pressure cylinders, and an OSHA-10 Certification. Participants will learn how to use a wide range of pneumatic tools, grinders, burr tools, and wire brushes, read blue prints, welding symbols, and processes on mild steel. The program also includes job preparation workshops. Graduating participants will be given the opportunity to interview with local manufacturers in need of skilled welders."
